Sylvia:

It will be your choice whether to stay at the Comfort Inn or elsewhere, but many of us staying there will have cars to do transports to/from the event center.

I am making arrangements with a local cab company to transport me from the airport to our hotel on Tuesday. I don't believe that either of the mentioned hotels has a shuttle service.

If you look on the contact list that I sent out, you can see how many people have a car that are staying at each hotel. :th-up

For those who dont know the American Kennel Club Museum is in St. Louis. I think I will stop by to check it.

You are right, Juanita, neither hotel has a shuttle. The ASC has contracted a cab company to take people to and from the airport and to the site.

Their number is 636-271-1305 You may want to check with them and see if their fee is comparable to what you are paying. I believe it is $74.

May Holly, thanks for your pm, I've replied.

Sylvia

The ASC didn't exactly "contract" with the cab company. It is a recommended service. :dk Probably because there aren't that many taxi services in that town. :OMY

I called that company last Friday to book a cab to get me from the airport to my hotel on Tuesday noontime. They indicated that they only book one day in advance.

I'll be calling them today for my pickup tomorrow.

They also indicate on the ASC website that they take credit only for the reservation. I hate charging a cab ride to a credit card when I'm perfectly capable and would rather pay cash for the fare. :roll

Back from the nationals. What an overload of beautiful Cockers, it makes me want to get another. It was a great experience, enjoyed watching all those wonderful dogs jumping and running in agility. Is a lot of work and dedication from both handlers and dogs. Star did a great job as well as Solo and Rosey. :YAY It was great to meet some of the forum friends and be able to watch their pups perform. Sylvia, Randy and Colleen thanks for teaching me about agility details as was an area that I knew little about and allow me to tag along. I was glad to return home and see my dear Holly which earned no Q's, points or MACH's but is the queen of my heart. I am sure she has no clue of where I was. :OMY

May, sorry we didn't catch up.

There were so many forum members there for the first time and I am disappointed that I didn't seem to get a chance to meet you! It was such a busy, fun, exciting time for us! I already can't wait for next year :)

Jackie sorry we did not meet. There were so many people and kind of hard to recognize forum members. It will on the next nationals. Glad you had as much fun as me.

I got back from Nationals and have been working non-stop so this is my first chance to post.

It was fabulous seeing forum members again, I enjoyed meeting new ones in person and had a good time overall. Star had a wonderful time as usual.

Thank you, May for picking us up from the airport and for the birthday gift you got for Star, the water and overall being a wonderful friend.

Thanks to Colleen and Randy for being our main transportation to and from Purina Farms, the birthday gift you had for Star, videotaping our runs and for always being there.

I'll post some photos when I get a chance of Star at Nationals.

Looking forward to next year in Reno!
