We've had ear issues with some of our babies now waiting for us near rainbow bridge but with the current 3 we've been lucky. However, yesterday while I was out with C J we ran into a groomer ( a 'girl' I've know since we were pre-teens

) who has groomed thousands of cockers. She spoke to C J and they shook hands. She then asked if she could check her ears? Sure, I said, knowing they were a healthy pink, odor free and no gunky grayish brown stuff. After checking both nice ears she told me we were about to have trouble.????? "Summer ear", she commented, just weeping fluids.????????? 40 yrs we've had cockers and I've never heard of summer ear or weeping fluids.
Y'all need to help me out. I've never even heard a vet mention weeping ears unless the ears were infected and smelly. Ear infections in cockers can be very hard to overcome. We've been pleased that our diligent cleaning and checking had produced such great results. Now I wonder.
