Any one have any tips for hot spots? All of a sudden I noticed Zoey has hot spot under chin and bottom of paw now I see two small ones on back of her neck. She has never has before and she doesn't scratch them. I'm taking her to vet in morning this was all on Sunday(today) when I devised she needed a bath. I thought it was dirt until it didn't wash off. Poor puppy one thing after another. She is on raw primal beef. She eats cooked beef with no problems before and cooked chicken is a no no but raw chicken she was fine on. :paw :bang

Hopefully the vet has an answer. Since you have the appt I'd let him determine the cause then what is needed.

I always thought hot spots were from chewing but that couldn't be if on the back of the neck

Julie Hydro says to put zit cream on them because it dries them up. Maybe PM her for specifics.

its a miracle! I was running late from work and traffic so I just grabbed Zoey and out the door we went to the vet. I didn't even check to see how they looked. We were a few minutes late and they took her back for the vet to check. The hot spots were almost gone! Even the big one on her chin! Yay!!!!! And they didn't charge me for the visit! (I had given her a prednisone sunday night when I noticed the spots so it must have been the reason) :joy
