Hi guys. We're still pluggin' along. Walker seems to be getting decent control over his bladder. He'll potty by himself (with me holding his rear up) for about 8 or 10 seconds, and then I usually have to help him finish. He has crazy reflexes now when we pinch his toes. I try to remind myself, they are just reflexes, he doesn't necessarily feel it. But I'm starting to feel a little bit (tiny amount) of resistance when I hold his rear up and he has feet on the ground. It's not much, but it's a start.
We've done the bathtub thing a few times now. He's not real thrilled with it, I think it scares him. There are no pictures because I actually get in the tub with him. I stay clothed, but it is impossible to get a picture of us in the tub, while I'm
in the tub. Then changing my clothes, drying myself, drying a soaking wet cocker who can't shake excess water off, or really "air dry"

I do think it's great for his muscles/joints though, since it's non-weight baring.
We have also been putting him in his new wheels about every-other day. We leave him in there for about 5 minutes and then take him out, and bring him inside. He is wiped out afterwards and sleeps for quite a while. We're trying to make sure he doesn't over-do it while still challenging his muscles/joints/nerves. His rear muscles have really started to atrophy. He's a skinny-bottom boy now.
I'm currently looking into supplements that might be good for muscles/joints/nerves. Any ideas or thoughts? He sees his regular vet for the first time this afternoon. He hasn't seen her since he hurt his back. He truly needs after-care now. His surgeon is an emergency surgeon, so he's not a true "vet" and can't provide the time or love his vet can. Walker needs his vet now, to see him, care for him, follow-up with him. I'm excited to see what she has to say.
Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers.
