If my house is not sold by then and I am not living in that new dream development to be built as described above. I will be glad to go. What is the camp all about? Send me more info as you receive them.

Tracking Camp is at Gail Workman's home (http://home.earthlink.net/~obedience-tr ... index.html) outside of Cedar City. Her website has brief information. The camp now includes days for beginners and more advanced students. This is where how I got started in tracking. I took Rosey and Solo to the first tracking camp in 2007. It has been a wonderful experience. There are several people in St. George who train with Gail on a regular basis.

Ahh the reason I left Utah. It irks me to no end, that the neighbor behind us could have their two un-spayed female dogs tied up with no fence 24/7 barking non-stop and having litter after litter. But it was not OK for me to have eight dogs, in my home, outside only to potty, in a fenced in yard, most all spayed or neutered (and certainly not breeding indiscriminately)and sleeping in my house at night. Crated if we left them home alone so as not to bother anyone. When animal control said I'd have to get rid of five of the dogs, I put a for sale sign up the next day. Fortunately they left me alone until the house sold. I would have made due if they hadn't. He was actually really nice about it and said my dogs were taken care of better than a lot of kids, but rules were rules and he was paid to enforce them.

I find limit laws arbitrary and ridiculous. It should be about the individual owner, not the number of pets.

:Clap

I wish we could have made due.

:love Sure glad we have "wonderful" neighbors who all have pets some with cats and dogs, one with a pet dog, cat and a tame rabbit who walks on a leash! We all watch each others fur kids when needed, like when on vacation or held up at work. We all have keys to each others homes for emergency's! I've even been called at work to let me know that the dogs were upset and were let out to play in the yard for a while. LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS! LOVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS (who let our boys out to potty) and ALL THE FUR KIDS! :love

hmmmmmm

Perhaps a bit vindictive ... but I'm thinking the last potty before you move would be on the neighbors lawn..... :evil

Seriously.. we have some real issues with a few of our neighbors dogs .. but I would never think to call and report them! Exception being if the dog is in an abusive home or abandoned.

I am very happy that in my town we have a 10 dog limit. After that you have to have a breeder's license. I imagine if you had wild, uncontrolled barking for several hours a day there would be some sort of "quality of life" complaints though.

10 is a good generous limit, maybe even 8. But a limit of 2 or 3 is ridiculous!

I absolutely agree! There are some people that shouldn't have so much as a goldfish and others that can care well and thoroughly for 15 dogs and a small elephant. While I understand the need for laws, rules, etc. in ALL areas, it is sort of sad that individual responsibility and integrity never seems to come into the equation.
