Can anyone recommend a good and inexpensive dryer? The regular hair dryer takes forever and with her back when I do bathe her I would like it to be as quick an easy as possible. And also so she isnt wet and shivering as long cuz she tenses up and I would imagine if her back hurts tensing would not be a good thing.

Thel problem with most force air dryers is there is no heat. This is the main reason I went with my stand dryer

I like mine but I can't call it inexpensive by any means.

This is with attachments, which I do use. It is a bit less without them.

I also have this one at my lake house. It doesn't have the power of the stand dryer, but if you aren't drying a full coat it works.

Check "box dryers"...some of those have heat I believe...the Chris Christensen I believe does too, but again they are not cheap by any means.

I just can't imagine blowing all cold air on a wet dog.burrrrr

Everyone had different ideas on what is the best dryer to use. I myself like the Metro 4.0 forced air dryer. It does not blow Hot air but the air is warm. I use this dryer on all my cockers- show & non-show. With forced air you have to dry with the hair as it could cause mats if you did not but the dogs dry in half the time of most dryers.
As I am drying I brush the hair using a good slicker brush. I prefer either the Doggie Man brushes or Chris Christensen. If your dogs hair tends to have a natural wave to it by drying this way if you totally dry him/her it will give the hair a nicer straighter silkier look.
I also have a stand dryer and to me it produces basically the same amount of air but I personally have better control of what I am actually drying with my Metro and I love the silky smooth straight coats my dogs have when I am done.
I know of several other people with cockers that also prefer using the Metro forced air dryers but like I originally stated everyone has different ideas on what is best and different dryers work better for different people.

The metro which has warm air. I can't wait! I also ordered a REAL table. I have to say that Zoeys coat is shiny and very un-tangley since she is eating raw for 2 weeks.
