Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get my 7 month old used to pedicures? The lst time I took him to the vet to have the tech do it, he let his anal glands go again (he's such a chicken) so then he got a bath when we got home. Problem is, he has his declaws still and they are getting quite long. Any suggestions on how I can get him used to doing it? I bought clippers and will give it a shot myself. I thought about doing it in the bathroom, this way, if he lets his tush go again, it's easy to clean and then I can give him a bath after.

Do you think he would fuss if I do it? I think I need to get my hubby to hold him for me while I do it since he goes bananas when he sees brushes, combs, etc. I showed him the nail clippers and he wanted to play with them.

Puppies. Are. So. Cute. :tg

I would make a game out of it. sometimes just put a bit of peanut butter or yogurt on his foot so he knows it is fun time. My daughter just uses an emery board and does a bit each time. The dog tolerates it better than the clippers or the dremel tool. I think that their nails need to be cut a bit more often if this is the second time.
