I know some of you give your puppers yogurt. What kind do you feed them and about how much? Roky is 7 months and I am sure he woudl benefit from teh probiotics, but wanted to ask for recommendations. Plain? Flavored? Yoplait? Ever put it in a kong and freeze it?

I give each of mine one teaspoon of plain yogurt on their dinner. I purchase the large container and it works fine for them. They think it is a treat every single day!

I use plain greek yogurt for the girls about 1 tablespoon once or twice a week, I often mix it with mixed berries (raspberry, blueberry and blackberry) with their dinner. Yes I have and do freeze it and have since they were pups. When daddy has his ice cream at night they get their frozen yogurt desert.

I use the plain when my pups get it. I have given them little tastes of strawberry and such but frankly that's as a taste of mine - they don't need the sweetness for them to eat it. If you are going for the probiotics just make sure the one you choose says there are active cultures. Also heating/freezing destroys the cultures so the pups may still enjoy it but it won't have the benefuts you are looking for.

Sadie gets about 1 tablespoon on her kibbles each morning. I buy the Fage brand of Greek yogurt - plain. Never thought to look to see if the container mentions "probiotics"; I just assumed. That's the same amount we give her when we all go for frozen yogurt; she eats whatever flavor we have then.

I make a summer fro-yo with flavors in the summer. Max gets a dose of Acidophilus daily in pill form since the probiotic load is much higher and it has helped tons. We used to do plain unsweetened yogurt and he wasn't wild about it.

My boys go nuts for any flavor/type I will give them! Usually I stick to plain or plain greek, but sometimes if I run out of that I'll give them a spoonful of my blueberry or strawberry. In the summer, as a treat for them and for me, I pipe dots of yogurt onto a pan (using a sandwich baggie) and freeze. Makes it quick to feed them a yogurt "chip" or two as a treat and I'll admit to grabbing a handful for myself as well.
