I don't think I have even seen pictures of Scrutley before. He is gorgeous :hp

I hope he will be feeling better when you see him tomorrow and that he comes back home soon.

Thank you so much! Our vet called this morning and said that Scrutly was doing worse, and that his chances of pulling through were very, very slim. We brought him home, and will call the vet sometime tomorrow to come out and help ease my beloved Scrutly over The Bridge. My heart has broken into a million pieces. Scrutly will be having some visitors tonight while we celebrate his life here on earth. I will miss him everyday for the rest of my life. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and hopeful thoughts. His old body is just so tired and worn out, and not meant to last forever. My other 3 cockers are being calm for him, and laying close to him on the couch. What incredible creatures they are!

My heart goes out to you Terri. Please know we are all with you in spirit and understand what you are going thru. You are doing the kindest thing you can do for Scrutly - know he will be free and without pain once he crosses the bridge and joins so many of our pups already there. He is a beautiful pup. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cherish tonight. To read about someone having a cocker reach 18 yrs is so wonderful. They just don't stay with us long enough.

Yes, he has the softess, most soulful eyes. My prayers are with you now as you face some difficult hours. Most of us have been there; we know your sorrow.

We stopped by to say farewell tonight. Heidi, one of Scrutly's many girlfriends, was very sad and she laid by Scrutly calmly when we were there.

We are proud to know Scrutly. As some of you might have known, Scrutly is the co-founder of ACSR WA. He is an exceptional dog and helps his mom run the rescue. He leads the foster dogs and keeps them in order. He is one of the best being ever to grace the earth.

Heidi, Louie and Cherry all owe their lives to Scrutly and Terri.

Scrutly, it is sad to say goodbye. But this is only temporary. I am sure we will meet again. And you are definitely the most accomplished cocker spaniel that I have ever known of as you have helped save the lives of many others.

Well -- he's gone -- my beautiful, precious, beloved Scrutly is gone. We stopped by his groomer's so she could say goodbye, and she rubber banded and cut a lock of his beautiful, soft hair for me to keep -- with a forget-me-not attached. How sweet was that? Scrutly has many friends that are going to miss him an awful lot. I still need to call my parents, to let them know that their grand-dog is gone. That's going to be hard, too. Thanks everyone for your support and prayers during this very difficult time. I just want to crawl into bed and hibernate for a few months. I'll write more when I'm not so frazzled

Terri,

I am so sorry. I am very hopeful that your beautiful Scrutly will send you some postcards as time goes by. Our Moonbeam did and they were so very welcome and comforting to the two of us.

As the months go by, I am wishing that your tears will turn to memories and some smiles from the silly things that Scrutly did. All Cocker's are very silly, so those memories will come in time.
