He sort of has that black saddle marking over his back . I will try and get better pics when we get him home.

Black saddle? Are all his feet brown/tan and his behind (under tail). In that pic he so looks like a B&T...white on the chest is still B&T.

How about Annie? I think she looks like an Annie...very cute. Maybe Lacey?

i know it is corny, but to go with Oakley, how about Annie?

or, as Oakley makes me think of an oak tree, what about some
plant/botanical/tree names...Willow, Fresia, Marigold...

What did you name the little boy? The little buff (girl?) looks like a Dolly or Lilly. I also like Polly, you don't hear that one much.

I like Willow a lot . Summer is another I like. Maybe he is a blk and tan but his blk saddle is not fully blk . It's like its shaded with lighter tan under the blk???

Maybe Oakley is a black and tan sable... I don't know if there is such a thing, but the little Chi girl I sat with last summer looked like a very light choc and tan sable - she was choc (nose & toes) but I could see the tan markings on her face and some darker choc hairs spread across her back in a 'saddle' - very cute...

I like Willow - Wind in the Willow, or Breeze. She kind of looks like a Misty, too, though... Ashley - for an ash tree?

They are both so precious! I'm sure she'll give you more clues as to her name, as you get to know her when she gets home...

I would be sure to say the name out loud and make sure it is easy to call with Oakley. I love the Annie Oakley combination too. We wanted to call Hannah Calhoun but it is hard to roll off your tongue. We considered Callie but she just looked like a Hannah. (Hannie Nicole similar to Anna Nichole when she is naughty.)

We've decided out next girl will either be called Thistle or Hazel, I just think the names are adorable. Then I also like Willow or Lilly... going with the nature themes for spring ;)

My next kids are going to be called Millie (Amelia) and Mason. I'm partial to older names so I like Emma, Beth, Annabelle, ect. I like Annie but Annie Oakley could be problematic. I'd be more likely to use it as a middle name instead of on two dogs since it could get confusing if used frequently.
Hijack: We once had a shelter dog named Asymptote, Toto for short. Smart boy but he just could never quite get there. Never say people in rescue have no sense of humor!
