Just came across my computer screen that there have been severe tornados, and weather systems hitting the southern states, to include Indiana, Tennesee and Kentucky. I see another poster already has said it has hit Missouri as well. God be with all the people in those states...and if you forum members in those states see this please check in ..... we want you safe. Want to hear that you are safe and are praying mightily for you and your pets

Joining you in prayer, Michelle. It sounds like it's been pretty bad in some places in southern Indiana... (By pretty bad, I mean severe tornado damage in one town, and the news said another town is pretty much gone...)

It is all very sad. One town is gone (Merryville) and the other (Henryville) looks like a bomb went off. I have friends that live very close to there. Luckily with smart phones they are able to post on facebook and we know they are well. Some of the video's they are uploading are horrific.

Still praying! :th-up ....This is cool, when the tornado hit Joplin, MO in May of last year, police and fire from Branson, MO went to help them..well, when the tornado hit Branson the other night, Joplin decided to repay! I just thought that was the coolest :sml ... It is so sad watching the people picking through their lives and with no where to go. Very upsetting.

Its been a day long situation and still watches are up here in north Alabama. I am ok but have coworkers with damage and destruction in their properties. Please pray for no more tornadoes. This is a repeat of last year and I dont like it. I am ok but on guard. Hope forum members on the areas affected are ok.

May, when I heard that the storms were hitting close to Huntsville, I thought about you. (my sister-in-law and brother-in-law used to live in Huntsville) Glad to hear that you are safe!! The destruction and devastation is horrible. I have been watching the Weather Channel. Stay safe!!

My nephew was on I-65, driving from Louisville to Indy near Henryville, immediately after the tornado hit. He was driving his new car (1 week old) when the hail came. The hail was BASEBALL size. Needless to say his car is a complete mess. He was on the highway with his windshield shattered in his lap and the hail beating down on him. The car is beyond repair but thankfully he is fine. He was beyond scared at the time.

:wow Debbie,

How scary! :roll So glad that your Nephew was not injured and hoping that his vehicle was insured.... Being a native Californian, I can not fathom living in "tornado country". Although, a few small tornadoes have been reported in our area lately. UGH! :sad

How very scarey for your son(sorry nephew). And I am very grateful that he is safe.

I just can't stop thinking of that little girl. Her whole family dead in the field.around her. I guess don't understand why!

I am so very sorry for the little infant girl that is injured and has no one left alive in her family. Many more homeless and injured. Thankfully your nephew was spared Debbie. Hopefully the weather will give those hardest hit a break.

Debbie, I have been through golf-ball sized hail and it was scarry. I cannot imagine baseball sized chunks of ice falling from the sky at God-knows what speed on top of my car. I'm glad your nephew is alright.
All of the devistation is just so sad. I cannot imagine what they are all going through, but they are in my prayers.
