Well, I'm already worrying about Penny and her spay. She goes in tomorrow early and I'll pick her up in the afternoon. With the long weekend, I can spend three days with her! I got a soft cone for her, but haven't done a very good job of desensitizing. I'll get a onesie, also. Just hoping she's one of the dogs that don't need lots of deterrents to licking....Keep your fingers crossed!! I'll let you know.

Jean, Both you and Penny will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow. I am sure she will do fine (you too!) Please keep us posted. Hopefully she will leave the stitches along and you won't have to use either the cone.

Jean...

Just wanted to wish you and Penny good luck tomorrow. I pray that all goes smoothly both with Penny's surgery and definitely with her recovery!

You'll be a great comfort to her. I'll be thinking of you two; let us know how it goes.

Jean, I will be praying for you and Penny tomorrow. I found that when Hailey had to stay at the Vets overnight...it was good for her spirit...as coming home was such a joyous thing....after being in the kennel environment. I hope that that is the way that it goes with Penny. She will be so glad to get home...and hopefully she will leave the stitches alone so she doesn't have to wear the cone.

Moose said that everything will be ok. He has been though that and it has turned out good. It is good that you will spending time with Penny for post surgery. It will over and she will be home soon. Moose said she is in his prayers. Update when possible

:hp :hp I hope all went ok, Jean. Maybe she'll be a little more receptive to being touched if she has some pain meds to help her, and you can build your relationship even more from there.

Thank you all for your wishes! According to the Vet, the surgery went well, and Penny has been sleeping most of the time since she came home. Unfortunately, she took a fall while coming inside, and I'm hoping nothing was jostled! She was eager for a little dinner and is drinking her water and urinating normally.
