Quick Question, I need to buy a replacement pair of clippers (mouse?-Chewed though cord while in storage) The old pair is a Blue andis and say "Ultra Edge Special Edition"...Tried looking on different websites and noticed there are TONS of options out there. Anyone know which new one is comperable? I don't need it to do anything fancy, just do a good job on shaving for the summer, but I do need it to take out an occassional mat. Thanks In Advance!

Hi. I have an Oster A5 but I also wanted a spare clipper, just in case. I found a good deal on a barely used Laube 5 speed and on an Andis AG 2 speed so I bought both. I like the Andis much better than the Laube, it is lighter and smaller. I bought my Laube and the Andis on Craigslist ($75 and $50 respectivelly) on ebay they were quite a bit more and I would have to bid. Today, I groomed all my 4 dogs using the Andis. It did a great job again, all I had to do was to change my blades when they got hot. I have 4 # 10 blades to use when I clip the dogs at the same time. That is my experience I hope it helps.

Thanks MarciaM! I think I paid around 200 for them new, but that was before I had kids, and could swing that without feeeling guilty! I will look into craigslist, I never thought of that. Thanks again!

Edited to add: Surely I didn't spend $200 on them? I do think they were over $100 though, oh well that was a long time ago...

Honestly, if it is just the cord chewed through, you can probably have it repaired. This is the kind of thing I am comfortable doing myself.

Oh gosh yes, just buy a new cord, super easy to install yourself, it's a matter of a few screws. This should be the one you need. http://www.kingwholesale.com/Shopping/P ... Item=13886 You could call king and double check.
