Hi Everyone, As some of you may remember my Bailey now 11.5 yrs went blind overnight in July from SARDS. Soon after that she developed Chronic Bronchitis and Colitis. I took her to her Vet on friday to have a growth (one of many) removed from her leg. We were unable to do that because her Vet discovered she had developed a heart murmur. That along with the amount of congestion she had prevented her from having an anesthetic. While she was there we did a needle aspiration of a small mass on her abdomen. The report came back as positive for cancer and we're going tomorrow to have lymph nodes checked. If this was the only health issue she had, we would be as aggressive as possible in fighting this cancer. Her general health is so fragile right now, from everything else she has been dealing with, that I don't think that's possible. My heart tells me that we are quickly approaching the end of our time together. She is such a brave little lady and I only hope that I will know when it's time to say good-bye. Please remember us in your prayers.
Update 1-11-2012
Bailey had lymph nodes checked yesterday and the inguinal nodes were positive for cancer cells. I guess it's becoming more clear that I soon will be helping Bailey transistion to "the bridge". I ask for your continued prayers and thank you for all the kind responses. Too many of you know exactly what I'm going through.

Connie, I am so sorry it has come to this time in Bailey's life.

You love her enough to be able to put her needs ahead of your own. I am confident you will know when that time comes.

I SO feel your pain, Connie, as I dealt with many health issues with Shiloh. I will keep you and your little one in my prayers and know that whatever time you have left with her will be filled with love. You'll instinctively do whatever is best for Bailey because you love her so much. Take care.

Thinking positive thoughts and sending prayers for you and Bailey.

Sorry Bailey is not doing well. Hope you have the wisdom to know when is time to say goodbye. Is so hard to admit and face that our heart dogs are getting sick as they age. I will give anything to keep my Holly healthy. I just posted on the Cocker Cockers section under Senior Dogs topic as I am having some issues with my 12 years old. The responses were very thoughtful, and gave me the strength I need to keep going and knowing when is time. I will keep Bailey in my prayers.
