I saw a post somewhere on here where people were using baby wipes on their puppers. I would dlike to use baby wipes as opposed tot he $13 puppy wipes but wondering which ones are good to use? I imagine I shoudl use the sensitive ones, but thought I would ask opinions. I use the wipes to clean off Rocky after he pees or poos and to clean his paws.

Excuse my ignorance but why would you wipe the dog and not let him learn to clean himself? Seems odd to me....

I do bathe my dogs once weekly and if their feet are dirty from walking on the trails but with the proper grooming cut he should be fine to clean his own body parts if needed.

Its a good question, no worries.

He's still a puppy (13 weeks) so we make frequent trips potty. He sleeps in our bed (no in a crate). He does lick himself, but I like to clean his paws, etc. after he goes out, especially at night, just in case there is mud or other stuff on his paws before he runs through the house or gets in my bed. As for cleaning him after he goes poo, today he went poo and my hubby had to pull a grassy poo that got stuck in his tush (sorry so graphic) and while Rocky did lick himself clean, he missed a little.

I use wipes off and on on my dog. Usually I use them to clean food or other guck off of her ears. They also give an nice overall freshen up in between baths. I have only used the doggy kind though, they are no more expensive here and you can buy them in the grocery store.

I use baby wipes and on occasional doggies oatmeal wipes on my crews faces. When they wake up in the morning they seem to have that crusty in the corners of their eyes. Works great and we have had no issues. Our yard is a mud pit so when it it rainy we have to wipe down paws and legs with a towel.

And on occasion we get a "hanger on" on the butt. So I will grab a baby wipe for that. I would rather clean it than have it drug across something. :gig

For dogs who have outside allergy issues, wiping their paws is a must. Wiping their paws can also be a great floor-saver. I'm always surprised with what I get off the paws after a long walk. I like your original question, as I have wondered which baby wipes would be the best. I know the animal ones the dermatologist gave to Sadie are quite expensive.

As both my cocker are in full coat we use baby wipes after our trips out to do our business to avoid cling on's and such. We use the non fragence sensitive skin ones. The cheapest ones we have found are at Costco and those are the ones we use. We have never had a problem with them. For face cleaning I use a baby washcloth as I wasn't sure if the babywipe would irridate their eyes.

For feet and mouth when Moose wont clean himself and for butt when he has his anal gland emptied and it is alittle sore. It is a good question

This may sound crazy, but Dollar General actually sells unscented ones that are very mild and also sensitive skin versions and my dogs seem to do quite well with them. I use them to clean muddy paws most often, but have also been known to use the occasional wipe between baths when they need a refresh.

The primary ingredients in the ones I use are shea butter, cocoa butter, and chamomile, so they are nice and mild.
