:hi Hi All,
It was an "ok" day. Rosey and I each had a Q and a NQ. Rosey earned 12 MACH points and took 4th place in 12" standard. But she had a wrong course at the end of JWW (lots of dogs had that error).
I ran JWW after Rosey so Mom changed her handling and I didn't make that error. Mom was very proud of me on this run. She used a 3 jump lead out and did a blind cross! Here is the video of that run: http://youtu.be/rcFLez19U_4
I earned 7 MACH Points for the JWW run -- so what do I do at the start of my standard run???? I call a BUTTHEAD MEETING :ROFL. I broke the startline, dropped a bar, and popped out of the weaves -- all in the first six obstacles :tg. Mom was not happy and she "heeled" me off the course and I was put back into the crate without a treat :cry. I guess I need to rethink when I call those meetings :roll .

I don't compete for 12 days, but Rosey goes again on Sunday.

Oh, Solo! That sounded very funny to me, it is similar to what I did in my Standard run when we visited you at the Walnut trial!

We'll watch the video later, we are off to the airport to pick up Auntie Kathy who is flying in from your neck of the woods for Christmas!

:hi Hi All,
Today (Sunday) Rosey got to go do agility. (Mom didn't think she would have enough energy to run both of us). Rosey earned double Q #27 and 17 MACH points.

The Rosey MACH Watch is at 656 out of 750. That is, she needs 94 more points---so she is out of triple digits and into double digits. She is on course to finish the MACH in about 6 weeks.

Yes we do! We have trials on 12/28-30 at the City of Industry site. If we were REAL agility addicts, there are 3 more days (12/31-1/2) at Woodley Park. But 6 straight days of agility is a little much for all of us.

Have a wonderful time! It looks as if we may be visiting CA more often than planned. I've tried to sign up for 6 different trials and we are on waiting lists and not likely to get in. Thank God for USDAA where everyone gets in! AKC here is a pain to deal with. (We do have one on New Year's day)

WOW WHAT A GREAT VIDEO. you were giving good direction and she was following really good. What kind of video equipment? It is outstanding and easy to see the small details. Also one more stupid question. Is there a vet that travels with the show or is he local???

:joy Yah you are coming for more visits. Say I have an idea , by the end of January you will be so sick of the cold that you'll want to find a warmer place :sun . Why don't you plan to visit Aunt Kathy and your shar pei cousins for awhile (is anyone really shopping in Salem, MA at that time of the year :wnk). There is a 3-day trial with Laura English judging at Walnut on 1/27-29 and the next weekend 2/4-5 is HOPEFULLY Rosey's MACH title (unless she gets really hot and finishes it under Laura). The 2/4-5 trial is at City of Industry so we don't need to worry about rain.

Hi Steve,
The black cocker in the video is Solo (a "he"). The video was made by "4Legged Flix" www.4leggedflix.com . They have started taping at many trials and do a good job. I don't know the equipment they use. But they have the camera on a tall pole that enables the video to be taken from above.

There is no "official" vet at the shows (though some competitors are vet techs and at least one person is a vet). There is a local vet or emergency vet facility listed on the show information so in case of a problem, competitors can get assistance.

What an idea! I'm all for it! :YAY Now, my mom is another story since she has this sense of something she calls "responsibilty" and needing to work. She has her therapy clients that she can't take off on so easily. That is why we usually travel Wed-Wed so no one misses a week.

The really best idea is for Rosey to run fast and get her MACH that last weekend in January and we can definitely make it then! :wnk She gets three chances after all and Laura is the BEST! What do you think?

We'll have a better sense of how likely that is after the 12/28-30 trials. The risk with counting on the MACH during the shows in January is they are outdoors and if it rains Rosey doesn't do as well.

We'll wait to find out how Rosey does that weekend but my mom believes that Rosey can definitely do it.

(We are not offering any magic for good weather after the big faux pas for Cocker Nationals  )

Mom has done some calculations and she says that if Rosey stays "on average" (which does include a NQ factor) that it could be possible for Rosey to finish at the end of that 3 day weekend. But if she has a "bad" 3 days this next week at Industry then the MACH will have to wait until Feb.

Thanks everyone :smch . We'll try hard this week. Mom has the agility bag packed and she just trimmed the bottoms of our feet (we have been sliding too much on the table).

Good -- because the recent run points don't suggest the MACH party will come that soon :roll .

Rosey is AMAZING, Colleen. I'm always impressed with you two! :th-up I like you as well, Solo! Keep up the great work. Rosey will have that MACH title in no time.

Thank you Jason. And, yes, when Rosey wants to, she can be very nice to watch. She had good runs that day.

And it was so nice to see you in Long Beach. You are doing a nice job helping Judy.
