I just got a call from Lacey, she is so excited! The hospital moved Donovan into a private room near the nurses’ station that has a bed for Lacey to sleep in next to Donovan. The hospital has found that Donovan is responding to Lacey, seems he's a mama's boy. That's ok, I'm one too.

Last night Donovan woke up and was crying, a nurse came in to try to soothe Donovan, well after a few minutes Lacey took Donovan and sat down to rock him, she has no idea if he can hear or see, but she has been reading and singing to him, just as she does at home. He immediately settled down and went back to sleep. Lacey says she is tired but she is so happy that he is doing better.

His favorite lullaby is "Baby Mine" from the movie "Dumbo" Yeah another Disney addict! He is far from out of the woods, Lacey says they told her it may take many years to find out just what kind of damage has been done, but she is confident that whatever his problems are she will help him. She wants me to thank each of you for your prayers. Please keep them coming!

You will love this part, his dad's is going with defense that while pregnant Lacey changed the kitty litter box and "caught that disease" which is why the baby is sick.

No one really buys that story for a moment. He had admitted to police that Donovan would not stop crying and that he may have shaken the baby but there was no intention on hurting him.

Thanks so much for keeping us up to date on baby Donovan and also Lacey. Continuing to pray for precious baby Donovan and for Lacey as she cares for her baby boy. That's just great that she can be with Donovan - best thing in the world for him! Like you said, "A mother's love!" :luv

I am so glad to hear the news and so happy that Lacey can be with her sweet little guy.
I will continue prayers for Donavan.
I will continue to pray for all involved that all the doors and all ideas come through so all is available for them.
