Got a Double Q!

Yes, I am now in the elite group of agility dogs working towards the AKC highest agility title – the MACH (Master Agility Champion). I earned my first double q today; only 19 more to go! My MACH points are up to 85 (of 750 points).

You’ll notice that Mom needed to shed some of the clothing in between my runs. It warmed up and by Rosey’s last run Mom really wanted to be in a tee-shirt!

There is more good news – it was a DOUBLE, Double Q day . Yes, the Supreme-Empress-of-the-Universe, Rosey, also double q’d (her 26th), but more importantly earned 16 MACH Points. She now has 627 points.

And can you believe we get to go and do this all again tomorrow! Mom actually entered us in back-to-back trials; though after the 3rd run this morning she was rethinking that decision. She was really tired. I don’t know what she is going to do when we have 3 days of trialing at the end of December and she entered me in 3 events each day and Rosey in two event ! She will need lots of naps in the afternoons.

Got to go rest up for tomorrow!

So impressive, Solo! Huge congratulations to all of you.

I loved watching the runs. Solo, is your mom making you do that jumping exercise too? She thinks we now get along better because I hardly ever drop a bar now.

Big-Sis Rosey, you are almost there! We are eagerly awaiting the signal so that we can come and watch.

If mom doesn't get her head out of her b*****, you aren't going to need to book that ticket anytime soon. First she varies her speed on the standard run and I drop the top bar of the triple and then...... (you won't believe this!), in JWW on the second-to-last jump, Mom messes up a front cross and FALLS ONTO THE WING JUMP . The jump collapses and I am so embarrassed . All of these people came running out to help her. The bruise on her stomach went away with an ice pack, but she has a bruised knee. We have agility on Friday and Sunday, so she had better get healed fast. Those trials are at the horse arena on dirt which is a more level surface so hopefully Mom won't be taking out any more jumps.

And to top it off -- Solo DID q in standard and earned 10 MACH points. He didn't q in JWW because Mom messed up his weave entrance.

I don't know why Rosey (who wasn't so perfect today) got to use the computer first . I'm glad you like the video. We are doing the jumping exercises. I didn't drop any bars this weekend . We are going to work very hard on weave entrances because that is my biggest problem. Unfortunately, we don't make errors in training, but in competition Mom doesn't hold her ground and let me get into the weaves before she starts moving forward.

Maybe I need to super glue her shoes .

Oh, Big Sis, that sounds awful, but the visuals as you relate... I hope Auntie Colleen heals totally soon. Do you have that video? I bet your mom decided not to buy it. My mom does not like front crosses, she says she feels like she's going to trip and they mess up her knees. Good luck at your next trial!

Hey Solo! No dropped bars all weekend is absolutely wonderful! My mom says the same about my weave entrances but we are prioritizing the bars right now since in Open it does not matter too much it is the one refusal we are allowed.

You guessed right. Not only did Mom NOT buy it, she had the videographer delete it so no one else could buy it .

I think it is so awesome that these beautiful babies get to do so many activities!!! I hope that when I get my new fluffbaby(prob. this spring) we can try agility also!!

There are bright orange cones with numbers on them, maps of the courses are provided with the numbered obstacles, and handlers get 8 minutes to walk the course.
