We met with a trainer today to discuss Bella's separation anxiety and one thing she said we could try is DAP. Have any of you tried this with your Cockers and had success with it? Would like to hear from other's experiences. Thanks in advance!

I have and do use it in cases of anxiety, in particular separation anxiety! It's definitely worth a try. It won't work on all dogs, but it works on many. I also always plug one in when I introduce a new dog to make the settling in period easier.

In one word, YES. I used Comfort Zone a few years ago when my Katie was elderly and went deaf-she became very anxious due to the sensory deprivation, and I really thought my vet was nuts for suggesting it, but it really worked! It noticably cut down on her anxiety level. Katie was a rescue mutt, not a cocker, but I would definately try it. My friend has a Westie that has been having behavior issues lately(not really sure what they are) and she is trying that thunder shirt-haven't heard how it is working yet.

Alex, I use the Comfort Zone tablets for Hannah during storms and I totally recommend them. They do not drug them but rather calm them down. Hannah otherwise is shaking, panting, hiding in my bed and drooling; however, with the tablets (and I only give her one) she is calm and just sits quietly chewing on her bone. They are worth every penny. Personally Hannah didn't care for the thundershirt on because I don't put clothes or sweaters on my dogs and she didn't like anything on her body.
