I've been studying for the past couple of months because I'm writting an exam this coming Thursday: Investment Funds in Canada... I know, I know: how boring! But it's a requirement for my job and I need this license even if I won't be servicing clients buying or selling Mutual Funds.

I love working in Banking but this course was very boring to me, I had a hard time studying this book. The exam is 3 hours long and I will need all the special thoughs I can get.

Sending good thoughts and "stay awake" prayers your way. Just reading about it makes me want to yawn, but if you made it through the book, I'm sure you'll do fine on the exam.

Vicky - good luck on the IFIC!

I don't know if they have changed it or not, but WAY back when I wrote it - it was multiple choice, only you had points subtracted if you answered wrong. It was supposed to stop people from guessing if they didn't know.

Just remember to relax and take it one question at a time!

Donna S - Thank goodness they changed it. It is still all multiple choices but no more substracting points for wrong answers. And the passing mark is still 60%. I have been lucky to have someone help me with my studying, he used to teach that course and told me which chapters were worth the most points on the exam so I could concentrate on those parts of the book. I am trying to be calm about it but I've been out of school for a looooong time and I was never good at learning from a book, I learn a lot more in a class with someone explaining the material. We'll see how it goes, but I feel like I have a fairly good understanding on the information and I have a few practice exam to work on this week. Thanks for your words of encouragements guys. :hp

Praying that on test day, you are blessed with a calm confidence ~ knowing you've prepared to the best of your ability. That you are able to focus and recall all you have learned and have the ability to apply it to the questions on the test.

Praying for you today, Vickie - I have it marked on my calendar that today is the big day. You have done everything you can do to prepare for this exam and you'll do well. I do understand the anxiety because when I took my written exam for my driver's license, I did the whole stress thing. I hadn't taken that exam since I was 16 years old. It turned out just fine just like your test will turn out just fine. I had lots of people praying for me and you have lots of people praying for you. God Bless.
