I am so happy that Star will be celebrating her birthday during nationals!

Unfortunately, I will be having a very difficult day during nationals. Friday, July 22, will be the first anniversary of the day we lost Weesister :cry I never could have imagined she was in such critical condition that morning and that it would be our last day together. I still miss her so much and the tears still seem to come :roll It took alot of thought to determine that I could handle spending the day at nationals.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell everyone this up front. If you see me looking teary that day, please tell me a funny story, give my a Reese's peanut butter cup, or make me smile! I know that is what my Weesister would want--her mama enjoying the day watching so many beautiful cockers and spending time with the special forum friends who were so wonderfully supportive at this time last year.

Thanks!

Those anniversaries are very difficult but we do need to remember that they don't want us suffering but happy and remembering them with joy.

Star will make you smile, this girl has cockertude to the max! :wnk

Frozen miniature Reese's are the best... :hp

Jackie, the first anniversary is the hardest, maybe you and I could sneak attack some nubbies that day... :sml

I won't be there that day but I will be thinking of you. We will likely be a little teary ourselves as Weesister was much loved by so many of us. You are right though - she'll be watching you as you watch all those cocker spaniels strutting their stuff and laughing with you when you smile.

Jackie,
I'll make sure that I have a stache of Reese's on hand...chocolate is my go to stress reliever. My Harley is such a "in your face" must "rub my tummy boy" so if he gets a bit pushy send him over to Juanita.

Dee, you know that cockers are the best medicine. I would gladly be in Juanita's position in your picture!
