My family & everyone we know are praying for Nicole & her unborn baby
who is at serious risk. Ultra sound showed a while ago that baby has
intestinal blockage & will need surgery as soon as delivered. At this time
(35 wks) they really want to maintain pregnancy 'til 37 wks to ensure
babys lungs are good & strong. The latest ultra-sound shows also that
baby is in breach position & twisted bowel. Mommy is youngest dau of
my oldest dau. age 22. Please pray for Nicole & Baby, thank you sooo much, Janet

Late last night they took Nicoles baby by C-section, labor had begun.
This A M an ultra sound directly on Baby (not in utero) showed that the blockage was
her small intestine all twisted up into a mass & non-functional, she is on a transplant list &
Nicole is in shock & we don't know whats next. We are all just sick with worry.
Please keep praying. Love Jan

Baby Athena is doing as well as possible, looks good, lungs strong &
is being sustained with IVfluids, Mom Nicole recovering from C-sect. All waiting for organs
to be transplanted & are struggling with the fact that another family will have to suffer a
tragedy in their lives. Its a lot to get our heads around. Thanks for prayers& please continue... Jan

Thank you all very much. Nicole was able to spend some time with Athena today & hold her & kiss her.
The breathing tube is out & she looks wonderful, totally perfect, at 6lbs 6ozs & 17" long she is strong &
even a little plump, lungs are good too.

I got a chance to visit Nicole & Athena at the hospital yesterday. I loved being
able to touch & feel her baby softness & kiss her chubby little cheeks. Mommy was released to go
home today & is feeling very sad, a feeling I can share.
