This 8 year old mother and her two puppies were left at a high kill shelter by someone who said he "found" them in his yard. Two of the puppies were dead when he found them, the mom is a mess and needs lots of medical treatement. The two surviving puppies have some deformities in their legs. Of course Camp Cocker could not just leave them in the shelter, so they are being picked up today when the stray hold is up. We are already 3500 in debt to the vet and now this added expense, if anyone could help out it would be much appreciated, every little bit helps.

Those babies are precious and momma is looking better already IMO.

I wonder if the injuries to the pups were human abuse :bang OR, possibly if they were outside, momma rolled on them trying to keep them warm?

Some people make me sick!

One of the puppies has a very crooked leg, the vet put makeshift splint hoping it will help her out. The other one looks like her paw was chewed off, she is on antibiotics trying to avoid infection.

I know things like this happen all the time, but for the life of me, I will never understand how anyone can treat another living being the way some people treat helpless animals, children, and the elderly.

I donated yesterday.

Poor little puppies and poor tired Mama. Who breeds an eight year old Cocker, anyhow?

Why was this post moved to fundraisers, auctions, etc? Are you holding a fundraiser for this girl and her babies?

Thanks to everyone who donated for their care, after four days with camp cocker they are settling in. Still not sure what the future holds for the one with the leg in a splint but hopefully it will straighten out enough for her to be able to use it. Poor Mom is exhausted after having puppies at 8 years old! Never again sweet baby, you will live out the rest of your life enjoying the finer things in life!

Bless mommy's heart. The pups are looking good. I would think the baby with the bad leg will learn to work around the problem? How about the one with the bad foot, missing toe, or whatever the problem is there?

Em, we think they are only about two weeks old so it will be awhile for them to be adopted, Cathy keeps the pups with mom until 12 weeks. I honestly forgot to ask if they had names yet lol, I know she was asking people for suggestions. Debbie, the one with the bitten off toes is doing good, they have her on antibiotics to help avoid infection. I just hope they do not get kennel cough from being in that darn kennel.

So just a toe. I read 2 stories and one of them scared me!

Hopefully they had enough antibodies or whatever from mom to keep kennel cough away.

The picture of the mom and her babies brought tears to my eyes. I know they're in good hands. I just hope they all get the best life possible after what they've been through.

Those puppies are killing me :hp , they are so cute. I almost tried to smell my computer screen to see if I could smell ''puppy smell''. I hope we'll see more pictures of them as they get bigger.

They do look pretty young - I don't see any eyes open yet, anyways. :wnk Good for Cathy! They need to be kept with mom to insure they
are getting good socialization :hp I will check with Cathy in a few weeks when they are walking around & active, to see if they're for adoption. They are adorable!!

The puppies are doing great, Mom is doing much better but still needs some medical treatments before she can get adopted. Here is a link to donate to Camp Cocker, thank you so much!! Mom did have her dental , her mouth was so infected she really could not even eat soft food so that has helped alot.
