My neighbor, Paige, posted on her facebook "worst day ever" we replied back why, and she responded
My best friend of 13 years and faithful dog has inoperable cancer. You better get over in the next day or two. Unfortunately it won't be longer than that. I've cried tears today...Paige is a wonderful woman, who fosters Golden Retrievers all the time : saves their lives...for sure. This little girl she has had since a Puppy. She is a Labrador x Greyhound mix, and is Henry's Girlfriend; he's known her since he was 4 months old. Henry is going to be 8 in a few weeks. Just pray that Sophie is Okay...and even if she does pass, she passes peacefully : and pray for Paige's family as they go through a hard time

They own a beach house, and they drove down there last night to let Sophie see the beach one last time.
I asked her if she was going to let her die by herself, or just put her to sleep, she says they are going to put her to sleep by the end of the week, they aren't going to let her suffer She is a beautiful girl.

Oh, Em, I'm so sorry.

That was so wonderful that they took Sophie to the beach one last time.
I think they are doing one of the hardest things ever and I am so glad they are making sure she is
doing the things she loved in her final days.
I am keeping them in my prayers for strength and love for Sophie.

Prayers for Sophie & Paige. I'm glad they took her to the beach one last time. They will all be in my prayers I'm so sorry Em.

I went and saw poor Sophie on saturday...she is holding up but is so sad to look at. Its depressing.
I'm going to talk to paige tomorrow about Sophie - and see how she is. I haven't spoken to her since Saturday
Its been 4 or 5 days. The poor girl is so exhausted looking and I can tell is sick. For those who don't know, she
has inoperable lung cancer. I'm pretty sure paige told me that there is fluid in her lungs, too.

This is so sad to read, but Sophie's mom and dad are doing the right thing for Sophie. It's still so very hard.

Paige says: She is still hanging in there. She will have a bad day then turn around and have a couple of good days. Stop by and see her anytime. She loves people to come and pet her. For some reason that perks her up. I think she personally just likes the attention!

I've been praying that Sophie will hold up a little longer, before Paige has to put her down ; this dog is SO sweet.
