Found out this morning that I have cancer. It's in both lungs and has metastasized. The top lobe on my right lung is completely blocked and has collapsed. Please pray for me to have the strength to do this is dignity.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Stephen is so right, though, Jackie. We never know the outcome before hand. You are, and will be, in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this. Hugs to you... :hp

Jackie,
I am so sorry to hear this. I will pray for you to have all the strength and courage needed.
When my Uncle was diagnoised with lung cancer and told to get his affairs in order because he only had days to live, my Mom told him" Okay, that is the Doctors opinion. Now look up and ask God what His is." My Uncle did look up and lived ten more years unincumbered and painfree untill the last week.
I heard someone talking and they were saying we are living in a time of wonder. The nation is waking up and headed back to basics and most importantly God. "Expect Miracles"
What miracles that are instore for you, only you and God know, but I do know He has your hand.

I'm very sorry to hear this and I'm sure you are still reeling from the news along with the rest of your family. Please know that there are many, many prayers being said for you during a season begun by miracles. I do not know what religion you follow but, since you asked for prayers I can figure you believe in a God who will listen and support. Just as "man" can propose anything but it is up to God as to how things usually play out, doctors can give us information or treatment but that is where their power ends. Too many people get horrible news only years later to have doctors say they beat the odds or "it's a miracle". There are so many people that are storming heaven at this moment just for you. I hope when the numbness caused by the diagnosis wears off, what you feel is the love and support coming your way.

Jackie - I'm new to the forum, but I will be praying for you. Bless you for sharing something so raw on the heart.

I also pray that the Lord will surround you with people nearby to love and minister to you.

Jackie,

As you know, we have had many conversations about our IMHA doggies. Although I have never met you, I do know what a kind and loving heart you have. I am so very sorry to learn of your cancer and I am very hopeful that you will be able to do exactly as you please and stay healthy. You do have all of us sending our best wishes and prayer's for you, your Husband, your family, friends, Sage and Saffron.

There are many new advances in Oncology, so let's wait and see what your Doctor's have to say later this Month. Please don't despair nor loose hope, because there is always hope.... :luv

Here are my best wishes and my prayer's for you along with all the (((((HUGS))))) that I can give.

Your friend, :paw
Dawn

Jackie,

My prayers are streaming for you right now. What difficult news you've received. Please remember it's our mind that controls our body. I was just listening to the Dr's. channel on Sirius this morning. They were talking about how our positive attitude reflects positively on our health. Those who keep a positive attitude do so much better. Those with negative attitudes see that reflection in their health.

You've got a battle ahead of you; you've got friends here; you've got lots of prayers being said for you; and you have our positive thoughts headed your way.

May God give you the strength you need now to fight this disease; may he bless you with miracles and may he instill a positive attitude in you. Amen

Jackie: Adding my prayers for you. We just never know what trials God has in store for us, and to be able to face them with a positive attitude and conviction that He has you in his hands at all times will serve you well. I know from reading your posts that you are a kind and caring person, and I hope you are surrounded by kind and caring people as you go through this journey. Trust your doctors, but trust yourself, too, to make the decisions that are best for you. You'll be in my continued prayers in the weeks ahead.
