Our dear friend Andy has gotten "the call" and now gets to report to the hospital for his liver transplant Wed. We're praying for a successful procedure, a speedy recovery and success!!! Prayers for the donor family---we thank you so very, very much for this gift of life. :hp

Update 12-27-10 Copy of Steve's posting on FaceBook:
Thank you Jesus; and thank you to all the friends that have been praying for my friend Andy Perrin. Andy received a new liver last night at a hospital in Kansas. He has been so sick for so long. The doctors say he will do well. Thank you all.

A little confusion----Andy is now at the hospital's housing waiting for a liver match---he's "next" on their list. He's doing good under the circumstances. We're praying for him and he thanks everyone for their prayers!!!

Prayers for Andy that his wait will be over soon and that his health holds steady until then.

Prayers also for the donor that God shall lay His hand upon in His time and those loved ones whose hearts are torn saying good bye; may they be eased knowing someone, somewhere is filled with renewed strength that can only come from one life being a wellspring for another in the most profound of ways.

There's no question with my DH and I as to our wishes as far as organ donation goes. I have not done so but this serves as a reminder for me to do this...one can sign up to be a living donor and bone marrow donor as well if interested. For our community it's at our local community blood center.

We are so grateful to be able to add this update to request for prayers for our friend Andy---Steve got a phone call from Andy's family a little while ago. What a wonderful Christmas gift for Andy!!! And we are so grateful to the donor's family for giving the Gift of Life!!!
