I met a woman this weekend who swears by this stuff, she is a groomer and was at a show. Has anyone tried it, apparently it is a powder you sprinkle in the ears.

Hi Doreen...

I've never heard of this product. Would be nice to see the ingredient list.

This makes me skeptical and frustrated enough that I wouldn't buy it.

Cleans up infections in just a couple of treatments

I can't imagine the ingredients will clear up an infection in a couple of treatments. Statements like that are causing my harm to ears than helping them IMO

I use it and it is fabulous! It was recommended by Star's homeopath vet. One uses wintergreen alcohol to clean the surface of the ear then sprinkle the powder and the ear remains clean for about two weeks. I had frustrating problems with Star developing yeast in her ears but that has taken care of the problem entirely. I also like that the ear smells very clean with the powder.

Hi,

Yes..I have used on all of my cockers and it is great. I don't think it would clear an infection, but since I have used it, I have only had 1 ear infection between the two cockers and my mom's poodle never had one...

Thanks , I am going to order some. The groomer recommended it more for keeping infections away , not clearing them although the website states that it will, who knows.

I don't really have to clean out Cooper's ears that much and they don't hold too much wax or smell, am I good to go or should I be cleaning line once a week, every other week etc?

Ava has no smell to her ears, and not really hairy on the underneath side...UNlike Abby. I still clean Ava's weekly. Yep, I would be cleaning Cooper's ears weekly, or every other week at the least.

Spirit, my first cocker, had a very long ear canal and he never had an ear issue. In 16 years I did not once clean his ears because they were naturally clean and healthy.

Sher...

Chessie has one side that stays good and the other I could get gunk out everyday. I would go ahead and clean Coopers ears at least once a week so that he is used to you doing it... just in case (God forbid) he ever does get an infection.

Doreen... keep us posted on how this stuff works for you... Sounds like it's got good recommendations! :th-up
