Joslyn is still on crate rest, gets out to potty then goes right back in. She is acting fine, sometimes crys when she turns her head wrong (?) I am waiting to hear back from my vet, films have been sent to WSU vet school. She is on prednisone (anyone else notice how they get "crazy" eyes on prednisone?) Would drink an entire bowl of water....I am relieved she is not hurting but would like to know what the next step should be. Feel bad she is in dog jail. :sad

Prednisone caused increase thirst, hunger and temperature - hot flashes. I know crate rest has to be hard. Geez WSU, hasn't it been over a week?

I hope you hear something soon. You can PM Kim K. to see what she has given Poppy as treats to help pass the time. I know she has chews and is eating a lot of vegetables, as she is hungry...

Zoey is weaning off prednisone now. She constantly scours the house for crumbs....it drives me crazy! She also was guarding her chew bone(himalayan chew)so I took it away. So she got carrots and greenbeans instead. We also started her on raw and she didn't gain an ounce!

I finally heard from my vet. Joslyn has an appt. at WSU small animal neurology not until June 6th. If there is any neurological deteoration then it will be an emergency and I'll take her over there right away. I am dismayed it is another 3 weeks to wait! She will stay in her crate on prednisone daily. I feel so bad for her and hate having this happen to her.
