I am Mary K from Indiana. I rescued a lovely chocolate parti-girl a bit more than a year ago. She came with some socialization issues, but has come along quite well. She is tennis ball crazy and loves a ride in the car. I've been lurking on the forum since my girl Snickers was adopted, and I have learned a great deal from everyone here. I thought it was about time I joined in the fun and started posting. What better time than now!

Hello from Lori and Fred, Roxy and Grover. As most of you know, Grover (b/w parti) is a Zim puppy, now 3-1/2 years old. Roxy (black/tan) is his older sister at 5 years old.

Am embarrassed but will tell you anyway. It has taken me all this time to figure out how to finally get logged onto the "new" site. In all fairness, we have been out of town toodling around in Northern CA with our pups and travel trailer and a very small, slow HP notebook with limited capabilities, so I blamed that and didn't try very hard.

Will post pictures when I have more time. Can't remember how to even do an avatar! In the meantime, glad I finally made it.

AFTERNOTE: Just posted this and see that I was accepted as a member on Sept. 11th. So I guess my first attempt worked. Just couldn't figure out how to get logged in.

Hi everybody, :hi my name is Fran (not Frank..I'm female! :happy )and I have Beau, Belle & Ben who you can see in my profile. I joined in July of 2007 which was a few months after I adopted Beau at 10 weeks of age. Belle followed in August and Ben the following February. Beau and Ben are the two BIG buff cockers and Belle is my sweet roan clown. Belle and Ben I adopted from my vet's office. Belle was part of a litter that was turned in and she was 16 weeks when I got her and Ben was an owner surrender who was 15 weeks. We're fortunate to live in an area with dog beaches and many off leash parks. We enjoyed camping this summer and hope to do more next summer.
We're very happy to be back on the forum!

Hi Molly here....
I am my Mom's 4th cocker spaniel and I am 1 years old. I love hiking, camping, kayaking, eating treats, walking, playing tennis (or is that just chasing tennis balls) and just being myself. We live in Colorado.

Since we last spoke, my newest passion is that I want to be in film. What do you think? :gig

Hi Again! :hi

Hi. I'm a previous forum member known as Robin G. who has not posted much in last couple years due to a few life changes. Right now I am mom to a blue merle English cocker rescue I renamed "Chaz." He's a darling 8 month old who's full of too much energy! I am also mom to two rescue Chi's. Nice meeting everyone :wv

Hi all, :wv

I'm Dotty and we live in West Central Florida - the home of sunshine and hurricanes. LOL

I have three rescues - two Cockers and one Vizsla and they keep us busy and entertained! We previously had Rotties (over 20 years) and after losing our last one to cancer we decided that we would only adopt/rescue. Ellie came into our hearts and home as our first rescue in May 2009. She helped to heal our hearts and has since stolen them. Otto (the Vizsla) was next and came to us in November 2009 and has proven to be our comic relief. He really is a clown and gets along well with "the babies". Charley was owner surrendered to us 6-1/2 months ago and has turned into a major cuddle bug!

While all three came to us with health issues and/or "baggage" I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. They have made our lives whole and I cherish each day with them. :hp

Sorry - no pics of me - I'm the one taking them. ha

My name is Dana and I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada with my 2 1/2 yr old cocker spaniel, Alfie.
Alfie loves his unstuffed stuffed animals, Foxy (fox) and Coonie (racoon). He is hyper social with people and other doggies.
One thing he does that I find kinda odd is he lays on his back, with his front paws touching and his back legs wide apart - I will try and attach a picture...I think it is bizarrely cute, but I am partial!
Alfie is my first puppy, and I got him at 8 weeks, and he has had a beautiful disposition from day 1.
And I didn't dock his tail, and his back end still swings like nuts when he is happy!

Hi Everyone!

I"m Tammy, single, I'm a Pastry Chef for a 5 star hotel here in Toronto Canada. I"m "dogless" only because of my hectic and long day work schedule. But I am now reconsidering since an apprentice "chef" training under me is married to a lovely lady who is starting her own doggie daycare 5 minutes from the hotel. So, I can see myself adopting a dog or two in the near future, knowing they won't want for anything day or night.

I"ve been a pastry chef now for 20 yrs, worked in a number of places/countries and I LOVE what I do. I lurk on here when I can, mostly because close friends of mine discovered your network and told me about all of the cute dogs, people, cats and kids showcased on here. They were right!

Once I am a proud "mama" to a cocker, I promise to share pics and our life together.

TAMMY!
Word of caution "COCKERS ARE ADDICTIVE" you get one you have to get more! They also make you talk a lot about them to your friends and co-workers (more than your human kids and grandchildren) they also make you a shutterbug! So when you join the ranks of us crazy Cocker parents PLEASE POST LOTS OF PICTURES!!!!!!! Hummmm Cockers..... Cookies....... CAKE....... I see a pattern here!!! :th-up

Hey Tom,

Thanks for the advice. 3 Chef co-workers own dogs, 2 have sibling brother/sister cocker spaniels rescued from a puppy mill in London, Ont , 2 yrs ago. Sophie and Teddy are 2 of the goofiest dogs I've ever met, played with and cooked/baked for. When Jamie and his partner ( the 2 chef colleagues) are away, I'm the babysitter and man, I have a blast with these two puppies. They are so silly, smart, and yearn to please... (doesn't hurt to cook for them either... I make awesome chicken soup and they get to suck out the marrow bones and I am there best friend..LOL)

Your two are adorable and obviously loved and cared for dearly.

Tammy

Hello,

My name is Rob. Jumped on this forum back in the early part of 2007 when I was looking for a dog, and it helped me so much in learning about the breed, and how to raise and train my Cocker, Oakley. I did not know I needed a middle name when I registered his name though, so he is officially Oakley XVII :tg

I live in Northern Michigan, right on the 45th parallel line, which is halfway between the North Pole and the Equator, so I live in a true 4-season area. Work in the automotive business, and also have my own sports photography business, which pays for all of Oakley's expenses :bg A wife, 2 kids, a dog....and life is good....just aging to darn quick!!

I am Sue M. from Green Cove Springs Florida!! and I am one of the original members of the original forum from
2005!!

My avatar, which was lost in the "crash" of the forum was my favorite of my baby Seth!
I lost my Seth @ age 9 1/2 just this past March, of pancreatic cancer......
This forum has been a lifeline for me in so many ways.....so many times......and even tho I have been
primarily just an observer.....I have watched the puppy cams, asked for help on occasion, shared my sorrow when I lost one of my cockers, and even received phone calls and emails from the cocker grapevine, when I was in
search of a new tri boy!

Thank you Jim, and Kellyn....and all of your wonderful cockers, for years of great talk, pictures, stories,
and support....
and all those puppies!!!!!

much love to both of you!

My name is Heather. (my past screen name was Heather Dawn) Jewelz is my black cocker spaniel and she was a blessing sent to me during a dark time in my life while I was in college. She got me through alot and I'm so glad to have her with me. Angel joined us later and together we have made many happy memories. Kirra joined us last year and is by all means the most velcro dog I've ever had. She is such a clown too.
