I think Maxine was sent to all of us, via Vicki, so that she could be with all our loved ones at the Bridge. She has tons of friends, now, to run and play with.

I can't believe that it's been almost a year since our dear Maxine went to the bridge. Even with the rest of the cocker crew at home (and life in general) keeping me busy, I still think about her often. What a dear, sweet and gentle ambassador of rescued dogs who won the hearts and affection of all that met her.
We came home on Thursday to find a Hallmark card in an unmarked envelope that been left on our porch. It was signed Jean, which threw us. Turned out to be Jean K. from a few blocks away (lives diagonally across the street from Mowgli's old house). Jean had left the card saying: "A belated note about Maxine, who was so lucky to experience love and comfort during the last chapter in her life. You both have such a gift and I'm honored to consider you friends. -Jean-

Thank you all who shared Maxine's escapades and celebrated her life with us
Bob

Thanks for sharing that. I'm remembering how warm and fuzzy Makseen and Issabew's messages left me. God bless you for being such wonderful dog parents.

Bob--your neighbor Jean is did what so many of us should have done -- especially Maddie's previous owners.

And I have been thinking about Miss Maxine, too. With the upcoming Cocker National I have been remembering meeting you all last summer and watching Miss Maxine & Vickie in the Parade of Rescue. It was so special.

As Vickie knows I printed out Dear Isabew right after Maxine left us. I never wanted to lose that !!!
Her wisdom, prayers, and humor were so special. I thank the "Big One" daily for her !!! Thanks so much for sharing her with us !!!

There are going to be a lot of little Cocker faces looking down from the Bridge at the Parade of Rescues this year. In fact, I'll bet they'll stage their own parade. But nobody will have to wear hair bows. And everybody will be prancing bravely along, looking around at the beautiful land at the Rainbow Bridge. I think this is a postcard from the Bridge from all our friends who want us to know what a beautiful place it is.
