Here are the amounts that Embrace covered from Gromit's surgery:
Claimed amount $3,376.00
Annual deductible: $350.00
Covered charges $3,026.00
Your share of the
claim (20%) $605.20
Refund $2,420.80

So, out of the $3,376 total surgery cost, my out of pocket is only $995. Thank goodness!

I'll have a few more claims, as she'll need follow-up xrays. Since I've already met my deductible, I should only be responsible for 20%.

Hi Darra!

Hope Gromit is recovering well from her surgery!!!

Wonderful having insurance to cover that huge chunk of the cost! Sure is nice to have for times like this when you really need it! I love Embrace and highly recommend it. I used the accident/illness once with Chessie and it basically has paid for itself.

Continued healing thoughts and prayers for Gromit

P.S. Don't forget that Embrace will cover and medications she needed from her surgery ... like pain meds and antibiotics.
