Our 14 year old, Lacey, is having problems at night with incontinence. She leaks, not pees.

We take her out to go to the bathroom right before we go to sleep.

Our vet has given her pills that don't seem to work.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this is an older dog and what have you been able to do to slow this down or stop it?

Other than this, Lacey is a very healthy and happy fur baby

Is it Proin that she's taking? It takes a little while to kick in, but usually helps with incontinence. Maybe ask the vet about adjusting the dosage.

Once Marco hit 15 he became incontinent frequently enough that we started putting a belly band on him at night. He'd always slept in our bed and I wasn't going to change that at his age. We also put a fleece blanket as the top layer on our bed since fleece especially when you use fabric softener on it tends to be water resistant.

Good luck - its tough so manage the oldies some times.
