My 6 mos old female cocker had her surgery 5 days ago. Although there have been no complications, she appears to be depressed and has shown some aggression when I try to move her or redirect unwanted behaviour. Is this normal? She approaches me with tennis ball in mouth and I have to decline the activity. She doesn't seem happy:(

What kind of surgery did she have? Spay? Five days is not very long for healing and recovery, it usually takes two weeks. Depending on the surgery, it may take a little longer, but it just sounds like she has a little pain. I would check with the vet and take her back to be sure that she is healing properly.
As for behavior, it may improve with healing, but again, ask your vet.
Best wishes.

Oh, sorry, I didn't see the Re-line that it was a spay.
