Ermegurd I'm leaping for joy... 102 cockers entered in Maryland Cocker Specialty... I'm drooling in excitement and wish I was up there. (The specialty in West Palm is just sad with 15. Where are all the cockers...?)

:ROFL Lol at the show in West Friendship program:

"ALWAYS CONSIDER BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON TRAFFIC WHEN
PLANNING TRAVEL TIME TO THE SHOW"

Just add a whole day, that ought to cover it. :gig

27 cockers entered there.

Save your travel wishes for St. Louis in July . . . the ASC National Specialty. Eye candy as far as you can see, plus Cockers doing obedience, agility and rally in addition to the conformation. A few Zim members will be there (including myself, Stella and her Cockers and Colleen and Gotham . . . to name a few), which makes it even more fun.

Cockers are really pretty rare in Florida, not sure why. Everywhere I go with Gromit, people comment, "My family had a cocker when I was growing up", but I see very few of them at any of the agility or obedience trials, or anywhere else, for that matter. People just don't know what they're missing, but I'd rather have a rare, but healthy breed than a common, over-bred, unhealthy breed which is what happened the last time cockers were popular.

Great suggestion! And, yes, Gotham and I will be there. This year Gotham will be competing in ..... ? Well, I'm not exactly sure what. Probably rally novice because he earned 1 leg at the Flushing Spaniel Show in January and will try for another leg at the WCCSC specialty in May. Also, he is starting OBEDIENCE classes in two weeks so I am hoping we can also manage to do Beginner Novice Obedience. There is a TINY chance that he may make his agility debut in Novice Jumpers. He will start agility classes on 3/22.
