I had a band rehearsal tonight. Who were the best in breed in Cockers?

I watched the buffs and I think the best opposite was a California girl showing a cocker arm band #15 or her dog. I don't know her name but seen her showing her dogs at Vallejo and Pleasanton.

Westminster was an awesome experience! I was there with 8 other people, and we took 3 dogs to show, an ASCOB dog, a black dog and a parti boy that I co-own. Our parti boy's breeder was also there with us. Dolores had come from France to watch our boy strut his stuff. Breakou took Select Dog at Westminster, such an honor!
And on the first night at Madison Square Gardens, I was seated next to Bill Gorodner, one of the authors of "The World of the Cocker Spaniel". What a nice man he is, so generous with his knowledge. He knew the story behind each dog and handler in those 4 groups that night, it was amazing!

Patricia Elkins from the Fresno area took BOS in ASCOB with her girl GCh Tru-Luv's Marilyn Merlot.

I'm jealous! Never been to Westminster. Maybe someday. But I have spent time with Billy G. and you are so right, generous and kind.

Congratulations on Breakou's Select Dog award.

Thanks

I do have an Handsome Dancer dog from a 2006 litter. Would never become a show dog. Today I think he could but to long to mature. Just didn't have it in his youth.

My source of several months ago says the cocker Halloween Show should be back at pleasanton for 2016. Should know more when Wolfstock, in June at Vallejo, Ca.

Joe

Mishka earned not only an American Kennel Club championship title but a Canadian Kennel Club Championship title.

In the Westminster show - held at Madison Square Garden - Mishka competed against cocker spaniels in the ASCOB category - any solid color other than black. He came out first, meaning he best met the standards for what the breed should look like.

Oliver is so over bred for good looks that he is not really a cocker in the brain. Just a lazy house Handsome dog. In fact the perfect house dog as grandpa says. To Oliver what is a bird?

It must be awesome showing at Westminster! Me and Ellie are off to Crufts again next week, doubt we will get anywhere as we haven't got anything the last 3 years she's qualified, but it's such fun to go anyway!
