Well, here we go again. Of course, everything is lost. :bang I have nothing saved, including who is attending. I know many have changed their plans. I am trying my best to remember who is coming. Can anyone help?

The looza will be Friday evening Oct. 1st to Sunday morning Oct 3rd in Mankato, Minnesota. If you cannot attend for the weekend, drop in for Saturday!

We will be staying at the Microtel.

Karen...I wanted to email you yesterday to get info on the Looza as I have a free ticket on SW that expires on 10/11 and had a wild impulse about trying to get up there for it. I couldn't remember the date, time and/or any details :roll . My impulse lasted a few hours until I realized that I could extend the ticket for a fee for a year and decided that I would use it to go to Nationals next summer. Maybe it is a good thing that the forum was down :wnk . I probably need to put your info in my phone anyway! Paisley sends you big kisses :smch.

Steve and I and the three dogs will come Saturday. We previously cancelled the testing due to my gimpy knee. I'll know about Friday night and Sunday morning once my son gets his leave approved.

What are the dates? Are there any plans for raffles or auctions?

As our number of attendees seems to be declining :sad , maybe we should look for an alternative to the The Paw (sad as I am to say that). Mankato does have a nice outdoor dog park right along Hwy 169 in a park run by Kiwanis (I believe). I do not know if they have a specific area for small dogs (Steve and Angela ????) but there are walking areas within the park itself which I am assuming dogs are allowed to be on in addition to running with the big dogs. I looked it up on the internet but could not find much information. It leaves us dependent on the weather but I guess that might be a risk we take. Any thoughts on this if we don't get any more signed up to come? Right now The Paw would be about $36 apiece (7 coming) - I can go either way on this one.

Not this one, unfortunately, but if I had time to put something together for a raffle/auction, I might be able to swing that!

If it's still just $36 per person, I think The Paw would still work. It has an inside area in case of weather, which is really unpredictable. I know that when it rains here, our local dog park is a muddy mess for days until it dries out. I'd hate to gamble on it being dry for the days leading up to the looza knowing how midwest weather is. :lol2

I know Jean told me she is planning on attending too. :YAY
I agree that the PAW is the perfect place. With the CRAZY weather we have had this year I like the thought of an indoor place if neccessary. I was very impressed with the PAW when we were there last year. GREAT location for a Puppalooza!

I still vote for the Paw. I think $36 is just fine.

We'd be willing to go $30-40 to have the room at the Paw.

About the dog park in Mankato, the smaller area is for all dogs and the larger area is still closed as they are still repairing the flood damage from the storms this summer.

So looking forward to seeing everyone again! :joy

Will anyone have scissors and tools to give me a demonstration on how to do Boomer's topknot while we're there? A few of you know how much me and his groomer have been struggling with it and I was hoping some pros could show me so that I could pass it along to his groomer. :nw
