Its been 3 months since Holly crossed into the bridge. I miss her everyday. I have yet not received any postcards from heaven but I have dreamed with her several times. My dreams are always long , in color and very vivid so dreaming of her is a gift. Today I gotmout of work early and in such a beautiful day I decided to go to the trail where Holly and me used to hike. It was a blessing, the place was quiet and so peaceful. I am still not ready for another dog but only pray tomget the one I need not necesarily another Holly although will be difficult no to compare.

I thought the same when I lost Spirit and then Sky. When Star came along she made sure that there was no chance I'd ever compare her to the boys. She is definitely her own person in every single way and has taught me to enjoy life in a different way. I'm sure you'll have a similar experience when the time is right. :wnk

Three months is not a very long time to give your heart to heal. It has taken me years, but that is just the way that I am. Sometimes I wish I would have not waited so long. You will know when you are ready. Holly will certainly lead you to your next companion.

May, my heart goes out to you. Although I was told by someone once that if you dream of someone after they have passed it means that they are in heaven and telling you that are happy and whole. It's something I hold on to when I dream of those who are waiting for me.

May, you were one of many who gave me courage when Diva was in the hospital a month ago and I thought I was going to have to make a decision that I was not ready for since she is only 3 yrs. old. I know you miss your furbaby, but what everyone says is so. I lost our beloved Mandy at 13 yrs. It broke my heart :cry ; it was so quiet and my husband and I were lost. We would travel in our motorhome and it wouldn't be the same. One day I ment a very nice couple and their four beautiful cockers (now 5!). I am sure you have seen, read or spoke to Marianne E. She found our much loved Diva for us. When Diva was placed in my arms it was love at first sight as she licked the tears from my face. No cocker can replace one that has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, but soon you will start looking around and one will just jump out and get your heart strings. In the mean time, enjoy all the beautiful pictures of the furbabies that get posted on the forum. They will help to heal your heart, they did mine.
