I am updating evewryone about my boy Toby! He is scheduled for neuter this Monday:) Our house has been crazy since Gypsy went into heat, which leads me to my question. Is a pregnancy possible without a tie? My husband and I have been VERY careful about not letting Toby and Gypsy together since she came into heat. However, while we have been at work, my older son has been letting Toby out of the kennel and I don't think he was supervised the entire time. He caught Toby mounting her but said they were just playing around. The breeder we got him from told us Toby has been around other females in season and has never done anything. He has been out of control to get around Gypsy. Can anyone tell me the chance of conception without a tie?

What do you mean by "no tie"? Immaculate conception? If that is the case I don't think so.

By tie I mean they were not stuck together. My question is rather foolish as I have just been informed about slip mating. I guess I will have to wait see if she is having any pregnancy signs within the next few weeks.

I think it could be a very strong possibility since you mentioned they were not supervised the entire time.

Yes, you might well have had a slip mating. How about getting the 'morning after' injection from your vet?
