I'm anticipating being away from home for longer hours soon due to work at client sites (instead of from home). Because Mocha is on prednisone to manage her IBD, her bladder control is diminished, and I already come home to find her sitting in urine on occasion. In the past I've tried using Dri-Deck, but she chews on it, which is too dangerous. I can't use towels because she will pull all the strings off and eat them.

Mocha is a small cocker with a dainty frame. She might weigh 16 pounds soaking wet, which is an okay weight for her. I've seen a couple of wire grates that look like her little feet could slip through.

Can anyone point me to what I'm trying to find?

then if you use a lambs wool cover over it to cushy her then the pee goes right through the back of it and the lambs wool stays dry. That would only work if she doesn't chew it of course.

You can also buy them from this company-

This is where we purchased ours from for the crates we use at dogshows. I think they will custom make it to fit your crate if their standard sizes won't fit.

Thanks for the links. The option for customized grates will probably be necessary. I would probably have an easier time describing my need if I told people it was for a miniature poodle since Mocha has such narrow feet. (She's been accused of being a cockapoo more than once when she was overdue for a haircut.) Any sort of fabric or fuzz is out though ... her IBD and the pred that keeps it under control also make her obsessed with consuming anything fiber-like.
