I know Terry Al sews just about anything - can't remember if snoods was among the items, though. I'm sure you could ask her.

You will love them. She makes them to size, so, if you didn't sent Reese's head and neck measurements, I'm sure she will ask you for them.

Snoods are fabric "tubes" with elastic on both ends - slip them onto your pups head to protect the ears from food and water at dinner time. Here are Indie and Bennett modeling their St Pat's snoods that I made for them:

In a pinch, I've pulled the ends of Sadies ears through her collar. It keeps her ears out of the yogurt. When she's done, she shakes her head to get her ears in the right place.

Thank you Ms. Dot! Hannah recently got a hot spot just under her collar. Your beautiful hand made snood covered the spot yet let the air get to it. It has healed quickly and looks cute too.

Sorry to hear about the hot spot but I am glad that the snood helped to keep it protected and helped it heal. :love

Hey there! Just thought I would reopen this topic. Although I am quite crafty and handy with a sewing machine, I am a bit intimidated by making my own snoods. Is anyone out there currently making these for my little Lyric? She is 14 weeks old at the moment and I want to grow those ears! Gotta keep those ears silky and soft if she is going into the ring when she is 6 mos old! Thank you in advance to any who can help! She has a narrow bowl at the moment but tends to steal food from 15 year old Jesse who had a wide bowl. (BTW Greek yogurt make a mess out of her ears LOL)

You can easily make snoods out of a piece of fleece fabric, measure your dog's collar and add 2.5 inches (for the length) and I make mine aprox 5" wide; cut the length on the 'stretchy' direction of the fleece, then fold the ends together cut into the fleece aprox. 1" - 1.5" and tie the ends together.....WA LA :Clap a snood is born!! They wash up beautifully and are very comfortable for the dog.

don't be intimidated. You can make them yourself, if you have a sewing machine!!!! Let me check what the material cut size approx. is on my girls' snoods, and the elastic. That's all you need to know to make the right size! My girls have little heads and wear a 13 inch collar, although I buy 13 1/2. These snoods would work for smaller and a bit larger heads and necks too. Ours are made of thin cotton polyester type material

cut fabric 24 1/2 inches wide X 12 1/2 inches long. This allows for the seam and the hems. You'll need 2 pieces of thin, NOT wide, elastic cut to 12 1/2 to 13 inches long to insert into both ends, in the hems. Sew the seam then sew the hems at both ends leaving them open for the elastic. Put in the elastic sew the elastic ends together and then stitch the opening on the hems, if desired. These should end up approximately 11 inches long with 12 inch openings, UNstretched. They will be small enough for your pup, I'd think, and large enough when your pup is grown too.

I hope this makes sense. It is stupid easy. You can do it. I didn't make mine (LOL) but I could.
