Ellie had to carry the rally flag this weekend thanks to the blenheims coming into season early. On Friday we had a mini PDRO trial, she got a score towards her Bronze 'on the side' (with some stations working on the right) championship, and a reasonable Gold Stars course (she already has her Achievement award and will have another go for the championship next year hopefully). On Sunday I was running a TD rally trial, she got a Good score in level 3 - it would have been Outstanding if her idiot handler (me!) hadn't done the wrong finish in the bonus and lost her 10 points! I was particularly furious with myself because it's the exact same thing I did last year on that bonus sign! :bang :bang But she got a fabulous 206/210 in her Veteran Level 2 class so that was great!

Then yesterday it was horrible weather, but she still managed 183 in the VL2 class in spite of needing lures and extra cues to persuade her to sit or lie down on the nasty wet grass - well, who can blame her! So now she only needs 2 more scores over 180 to get her VL2 Championship! We also got an Outstanding score in the 'Pre Level 2' class which is new this year, has most of the Level 2 signs but is performed on lead, a particularly useful level for anyone with a dog who has the Level 1 championship but can't or isn't confident to work them off lead.

Next bunch of trials isn't for a couple of weeks so the whole team should be back in action by then! :joy

Aw thanks! We have a mini trial this Friday with one club, then a bigger one Sunday with the other club. If the girls are good, Ellie could get her Veteran Level 2 Championship, and Hetty could get an Award of Excellence (3 top levels scores for the first 3 rounds in any level).
