Palm trees OMG they are putting palm trees on the new BAD SECTION on the bay bridge!

Man in search of Palm Trees for landscaping project

Feb 25, 2014 - More palm trees are set to go up in April at the foot of the new eastern span of the Bay Bridge.

In the northern desert of California!

New Mexico, Santa Fe, they like art even Ms. Bullock lives near by and a whole lot more. Just a little snow.
The land of Enchanment with great sun sets. Feels strange not to be miles from the ocean.

Hi Leigh,
Checking here to see how Arlo is doing... saw your note about Palm Trees! Oh My!
So I have a question: which palm trees, the date palms or the coconut palms or ALL Palms??
Pollen or dust or ?? My, that is likely to be a challenge! I can't even say "move north" because they are planting them everywhere, it seems.

I can confirm the palm allergies. Im suffering awful along with Arlo. My yard has many Royal palms and other varieties. You can see the pollen from them.

So - We got a call from the Vet this morning.

Arlo, was born inland from Los Angeles and I don't think near too many Palm Trees - if any.

We brought him home at 8 weeks old and we live among MANY Palm Trees.

The Vet was surprised because Arlo,s allergy tests show he is MOST allergic to …

PALM TREES ….W!@# the What! Noooooooooooooo…

NOW were on earth are we to retire :)

Arlo Update …

So, the steroid treatment DID help him and he only takes his antihistamine pill one x a day (was taking 2 x).
The shampoo seems to help as well. For now he seems better.

I meet with the doctor once Melinda returns from being home to visit her Mother for a week.
I have been on full pet duty with 3 cats and Arlo :)

The good part of that is that little Arlo has been particularly sweet to me.
So, he's been my little buddy and I take him everywhere with me.

Once I meet with the doctor I'll update on all the other allergies.

DebbieFive - I think you are down in Socal by Kim?
So sad about the Palms. But, those big Royal Palms sure look good ...
- I am down there every Wed where Arlo is groomed by Tracy at Top Dog Inn.
Tracy and Ken are wonderful and Arlo LOVES them.

More soon…

PS to Debbie Five

IF you are down that way in OC … La Mirada there has a wonderful production of Les Mis right now.
I highly recommend.

Tracy is one of the best cocker groomers in the world, truly! She occasionally does Rosey and Solo either when (1) my arms/shoulders are acting up and I can't groom them myself, or (2) when I have messed them up so badly that I need a professional to give me new lines to follow.

Add real sea salts to your shampoo and rinse and let it soak in about ten minutes.

Thanks Chris - I felt so bad. I usually brush Arlo right BEFORE we go for coffee (it gets him lots of compliments).
But I had not done so today. Since we were both dressed to match the place - we did the photos.

Arlo is looking great right now. Tracy Lynn (Top Dog Inn) is SO good and he positively loves them.
When we go he PULLS me in to see them and when I come to pick him up … I am chopped liver :)

Monday the 30th is also Rose and Solo's day. Gee if Arlo is there in the morning, I will get to see him. But Randy is picking up Rosey and Solo on Monday evening because I have a meeting.

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa private beach.

In our private cabana - with Arlo looking out over the beach.

Food and Bloody Mary delivered to us :)

It was a good day by all.

At night Arlo was able to walk the enclosed pool area (we were all alone).
We'd let him RUN down the big long hall to the room (one of us on each end)..

He LOVED it ..

Wow .. I am so happy for my mom Melinda.

Look at the new home for THREE of her paintings recently acquired by a new office opened here in So California.
They now live in a beautiful design firm - with people who have a great appreciation for art.

And, her 3 Horses just went to Australia to a couple who just built their dream home.
(it was a real interesting thing to go thorough with shipping and duty taxes).

The first 3 photos are the painting in the design firm - Called Studio 3.
And, the horses are the ones that went to Australia.

Please take a look at the Camp Cocker Rescue 2015 Photo Contest.

Arlo is entered (so is our very own Milo)

https://www.360photocontest.com/page/vi ... testid/276

Please vote for Arlo… it is only $5 to vote and the funds go to Camp Cocker one of the very best Cocker Rescue groups out there.
