You're a good dog mom...that's all,not paranoid. I bet those are nothing but cysts. I'll cross my fingers for cysts. My non cocker had one and it popped...eeeekkk. It was hard...like a wart even looked like nothing more than a wart. A friend of mine has a cocker with 2 of them as well.

Yes, I was so relieved. I would rather find out early what something is and deal with and not wait until things have progressed. I've had skin cancer several times and no how important it is to have everything checked out when they first appear.
Since finding the 2 ear growths, I had gotten out the clippers and cut Rocky's hair, only to find 2 growths on his backside to the left of his tail. One is very small, like it's just beginning, the other is moveable and feels like a sebaceous cyst. I've had several removed from my scalp so am familiar with how they feel. I've been doing lots of reading and learned that Cockers are prone to them. To make a long story short, I took Rocky back to the vet and asked them to aspirate them. The vet said they were too small and too firm and that she would have to do a punch biopsy to get cells. I told her to just remove them. So....under sedation (again) they were removed today. He had to have a couple of stitches. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but as you said, better safe than sorry.
