I'm taking Ranger to the vet today because he just isn't acting right. He's been a little mopey and puny the past week or so. Then, he threw up last night in his crate. He still acts excited when I get home from work, but is mainly just wanting to cuddle me and not wanting to rough house with his brother.

I also want to ask about his stinky eyes/breath. I don't know....does he really need to go the vet? Maybe not....but I'm taking him anyway. Has anyone else ever taken their pup to the vet because they weren't acting right? :dk

Crazy? NONSENSE!!! Instinct is a marvelous gift... you know your dog best. He's not acting himself... I'd take him to the vet too!

Keep us posted!

I agree with you and the others - YOU know your baby. Being "just a little off" and having that nagging wonder inside of you is VERY good reason for going - NOW. Keep us posted and give them both hugs from Auntie Peggy!

You know your dog better than anybody else . . . if something isn't right, take him in. Better safe than sorry!

You are absolutely not crazy!!!! You know your babies best and know when they aren't acting normal. Please let us know what the vet says. Sending hugs & prayers to you and Ranger

Well the vet did some blood work and said all of it looked completely fine. She suggested that I switch his flavor of food from chicken to lamb, since his eyes and breath started getting funky around the time I changed him from lamb to chicken.

Overall he seemed good today and the vet couldn't find anything wrong with him. Maybe he's just been sleepy the past week. He sure played hard today. But oh well, I'd rather have peace of mind than be worried about him.

Thanks for all the kind responses. :wv
