Leila (and all my pups) take Sentinel monthly for fleas and heartworm.
We haven't had a flea problem in the past, but this week I noticed Leila is scratching a bit. I know we have lots of stray cats around and they frequent our back yard, so maybe they have dropped off some unwelcome visitors in the yard, and they hitched a ride on Leila.

Can I give Leila a Capstar if she is already taking Sentinel?
And I will also have to take care of the yard issue as well.

As far as i know, Capstar can be taken with any other flea med (oral or spot on) since it is a short acting pill, to kill fleas immediately.

It's used on shelter dogs all the time when taken by rescues, and then they are given flea meds the same day, or the following day.

I used it on Sophie last summer, and i used Advantage at the same time, and never had any problems.

I would use a Garlic spray on them instead. Yeah, I know some humans can't stand Garlic but it is the best all natural product one can use for their fur kid's.
