Riley has been on 5 mg twice daily of amlodipine since he was diagnosed, so Oliver was probably on too low a dose to start out if he was only taking 2.5 mg twice daily. If it goes up we have talked about adding another med rather than upping the dose of amlodipine.

Have you gotten him retested for Cushings? Dex test, ACTH test? Riley is doing great on meds, Cushings is completely controlled. He started out on 30 mg Vetoryl and his cortisol levels gradually crept lower and lower so long story short we reduced him to 20 mg then 10 mg, which is what he has been on for a year and cortisol levels are perfect. Proper dose for his weight should be 30 mg, but sometimes dogs need more or less, lucky we need less. No Cushings symptoms at all, except the HBP.

Riley is so laid back, relaxed all the time, so when we get his BP checked I can't say he is stressed out at all, loves the girls at the vets who take his BP.

I didn't give the full report, his blood pressure is down to 160, but now he has a heart murmur, bad gallbladder, bad spleen, growths all over. He is just getting old. Great ears, teeth and eyes :joy
