Bruce, like a lot of Cockers, has skin allergies. He seems to get a few areas in particular that bother him, and when he licks those areas he starts to get the same waxy, brownish buildup that he gets on his ears when he gets a yeast infection. We've already been to the vet for a cortisone shot to cut down on the itchies and scratchies, which seems to be working in that respect, but I want to know if there's some topical way to treat these spots. Obviously it's gotta be natural, as he's probably going to ingest a bit of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you could try vinergar/water mix 50/50. sponge it on and let dry. I use white vinegar so it doesn't color the coat. I dip my Zoey's feet in it when she chews them.

I second the vinegar/water mix. I use Apple Cider but Max is Chocolate so we don't have the issues with staining. Just dab it on the spots as vinegar is anti-fungal. I've also heard of people using athletes foot cream but have never tried it.

Ginger's Dermatologist recommended these wipes that I have ordered from Entirely Pets.

They are Douxo Wipes and have Chlorhexidine 3%.

I use them around her nail beds and inside her ear flaps, just not down into the ear canal. You can also use them on any place that there is a spot.
