Cute furry cockers and wooden ones too!!!

On March 12, 2010 Life’s Little Paws was contacted by a local breeder. She had seven dogs that she needed to place quickly. She was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Rita, Toolie, and Donna sprung into action and drove up to the woman’s house to get these sweet little dogs. There were 5 cocker spaniels and 2 Shih-Tzu’s. The cost for taking these dogs in is very expensive, but we couldn't say no. None of these dogs where spayed or neutered, nor have they had updated immunizations when we picked them up. We are happy to say that all of the dogs are now up to date on immunizations and in the process of getting altered or healing from being altered. Thanks to our WONDERFUL foster team every dog is in a home setting learning how to be a pet and being loved.

Recently we had donated through sponsorship 5 wooden Cocker Spaniels all in different colors. They are about the size of a 13 pound cocker spaniel and are STUNNING. The dogs measure 21" high, 16"long, 7 1/2" wide. To recuperate some of the costs involved with the seven breeder dogs, we would like to offer you a chance to win one of these darling cockers. Now through April 4th we will be selling "chances" to win!
Come take a look at the adorable wooden cockers!!!!! http://www.lifeslittlepaws.com/WoodenCockers.html

Here are some photos of Vincent when he arrived into rescue. He was matted tightly to the skin and even after multiple baths still smelled foul. It took his foster mom (who has professional grooming equipment) THREE hours just to safely get the matts off this boy. He now looks great and happy. For after photos please visit the site :love

Wow!! What a wonderful transformation on Vinnie. And the person who made the wooden cockers is truly talented. They are amazing. I guess maybe some dog owners exist in their own little worlds or something, but I sure wish that people who run into problems caring for their dogs would reach out BEFORE their dogs start suffering. I'm sure there are so many good people who would be happy to help groom, bathe, or whatever for someone who is having trouble. It just seems like we see this happen again and again. It makes me sad for the dogs and it makes me sad for the owners who don't realize that people would help them if they asked.
