Mabel has chewing gum stuck between her foot pads. I can't cut it out due to her squirming. It appears to be ground in right to the skin.

Any tips on home remedies for getting gum out of fur? I remember peanut butter was the thing when I was a kid, but don't have any on hand.

Someone told me mayonnaise worked - but I have never tried it. :dk I've also heard to put ice on it, but that might be a little uncomfortable for Miss Mable.

Oil of any type should work, but you are going to still have to pull it out. With ice it makes it hard enough to cut it out.

Peanut butter worked on my daughters hair but there was pulling involved to "slide" the gum out.

Use can use cooking oil or cold cream too.
