I have had my Bravura for about a year. Sometimes it will not cut in the 9/10 position, when I switch it to the 40 it cuts fine. Then sometimes it works perfectly. I oil and use blade cleaner(not in that order) before every use, and when it stops cutting I again oil, and it still doesn't cut properly. I leave it for a few hours or days and then it works perfectly! I love it, I use it for total shavedowns now with the combs instead of my andis. Can it be possible that I need a new blade already? I really don't use it that much compared to regular groomers, every 2 weeks for faces and a few shavedowns, thats about it. I also keep it fully charged, after a brief use I always charge it in between dogs. Tonight I took my andis out to finish faces, and then the Bravura worked perfectly! I really do not like the cord and how heavy the andis is, I really love the Bravura, especially since it is cordless I set the grooming table outside and don't have to be near a plug. Thanks in advance for your help.

It is possible you need a new one. I've had mine five years and have had it sharpened only once and it's still working. Though I notice mine doesn't work when there is a bunch of hair built up in the blade.I take my forced air dryer and blow it out and it works great.

Thanks Julie, I do notice it cakes up with hair alot, which I clean out. I don't have a dryer to blow out the hair. I will continue to work with it and make sure I clean out the hair before I buy a new blade.

Does Marsha sharpen these blades? I will PM her.

I use the computer keyboard 'canned air' for cleaning out the hair the gunks up the blades.
Works like a charm.

I will try try the air can-great idea! I hope it is just caked up hair issue, if I have to replace the blades every year, well, I did not expect that. even with 3 dogs they don't get the use that others use theirs. When I groom the body they are always bathed the day before so I am cutting clean hair.

Marsha-if these don't work, I'll be PMing you for an address and a quote.
